The School Transport Scheme is a significant operation managed by Bus Éireann on behalf of the Department of Education and Youth.

In relation to the specific situation in Aughnamullen, two services operate locally. Bus Éireann has advised that issues arose in how these services were being used. The situation was monitored at local level and Bus Éireann has confirmed that the matter has now been resolved.
