My current legislative priority is the comprehensive regulation of e-cigarettes including a ban on disposable vapes. I am considering possible approaches to the regulation of nicotine pouches. The regulation of these products has already been discussed at EU level in the context of a revised Tobacco Products Directive. Recognizing that EU wide measures would be the most effective, I have on behalf of Ireland and several other Member States, recently called on the European Commission to bring forward the revised Tobacco Products Directive as soon as possible.
