To ask the Minister for Health the regulatory food safety changes that have been implemented to prevent small schools that were registered as food business operators, staff had undergone appropriate training levels commensurate with their work activity, had been inspected by an Environmental Health Officer and were formerly approved to reheat school meals, from continuing to do so; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Department for Social Protection are the lead Department on the School Meals Programme. The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) are responsible for operational matters related to food safety of the programme and therefore I would invite the Deputy to contact the FSAI directly on this topic.
