Under the Road Safety Authority Act 2006, the Road Safety Authority (RSA) has statutory responsibility for the promotion of public awareness of road safety and of measures, including the advancement of education, relating to the promotion of the safe use of roads. Neither I nor my officials are involved in the development of advisory material in relation to this role.

Given the RSA's responsibility in this regard, I have referred the Deputy's question to the RSA for direct, detailed response in relation to the issue raised. Please contact my office if a reply is not received within ten days.
