Minister Butler engaged with relevant stakeholders during the course of last year which informed the wording of the commitment relating to gender healthcare in the general election manifesto. This included BeLonG To, individuals with lived experience, third level students, and parents with lived experience. The manifesto committed to "Ensure a gender healthcare service that is based on clinical evidence, respect, inclusiveness and compassion".
