2031. To ask the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality the estimated total number of staff employed delivering HSE-funded disability services across the statutory, section 38, section 39 and tendered sectors, including a separate estimation of disputed numbers (details supplied); and for an approximate breakdown of the skill mix of these employees. I have asked the Health Service Executive (HSE) to respond directly to the Deputy on this matter with the data they have available.

As a general principle, services in receipt of funding from the HSE under section 39 of the Health Act 2004 are governed by a Grant Agreement or a Service Agreement between the HSE and the service provider. Terms and conditions of employment for staff in these funded organisations are ultimately determined between the organisation (as employer) and its employees. There is a responsibility on employers to apply for additional funding under the previous and new WRC agreement and pass on increases to eligible staff as soon as possible.
