I can advise the Deputy that my Department does not designate liaison officers to specific sporting events. However, I can assure the Deputy when large sporting events or tournaments are being hosted by Ireland organisers can contact my Department's Visa Division who will work with them to ensure that visas are processed in a timely manner. Attendees are encouraged to apply for their visas up to 90 days in advance and can request assistance using my Department's Customer Service Portal.

Any visa required national that wishes to enter the State, and remain, for up to 90 days must be issued with a Type C Short Stay Visa. Any person that wishes to make a visa application must do so online at: www.visas.inis.gov.ie/avats/OnlineHome.aspx.

A short stay 'C' performance or tournament visa allows a person to visit Ireland for up to 90 days to stage a performance or to take part in a competitive tournament. Further information is available at the following link:
