I propose to take Questions Nos. 1304 and 1305 together.

In regard to information sought from the bodies under my Department’s aegis, it is the established practice of my Department that it provide the relevant points of contact for each aegis body. This practice is in order to be of assistance, rather than invoking Standing Order 45, seeking a disallowance on the grounds of ‘no function’. Arrangements and dedicated email addresses have been established by all bodies under the aegis of my Department to facilitate the provision of information directly to members of the Oireachtas. This provides a speedy, efficient and cost effective system to address queries raised by Deputies. Given the number of the individual bodies relevant to my Department, and breadth of their responsibilities, the compilation of information, not otherwise held by my Department, would involve a disproportionate amount of time and work.
