1150. To ask the Minister for Housing, Planning, and Local Government if he will confirm the transfer of functions and responsibility for the Property Services Regulatory Authority (PSRA) from the Department of Justice to his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [45204/25]

On July 22 2025, the Cabinet approved moving the Property Services Regulatory Authority (PSRA) and the Property Services Appeals Board (PSAB) functions, in line with Programme for Government commitments, from the Department of Justice to the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
I can confirm that this transfer of functions took place on 1 August 2025.
This transfer brings the PSRA and PSAB into the broader Housing infrastructure and will enable the achievement of the shared goal of a healthy, fair and functioning housing market for Ireland.
I am confident that positive and constructive engagement between my Department and the PSRA over the last number of years will help smooth the transfer process.
