Between 2023 and 2025, there has been a 10.7% increase in core funding to Scouting Ireland. Annual funding is provided to the organisation under the Youth Services Grant Scheme which supports national youth organisations to ensure the emergence, promotion, growth and development of youth organisations with distinctive philosophies and programmes aimed at the social education of young people.

Funding was also provided to Scouting Ireland through the Youth Climate Justice fund, which supports youth-led activities related to climate justice at community, regional and national level. In 2023 capital funding was made available to Scouting Ireland for information and communication technology upgrades as well as the purchase of equipment and the completion of minor works.

The funding made available by the Youth Affairs Unit of my Department over the period 2023 to 2025 to Scouting Ireland is detailed in the following table:

2025 Youth Services Grant Scheme 2024 Youth Services Grant Scheme 2023 Youth Services Grant Scheme 2023 Capital Funding 2023 Youth Climate Justice Funding
