I propose to take Questions Nos. 798 and 799 together.
The major building project for the school referred to by the Deputy will deliver a new 1,000 pupil post-primary school and accommodation, including 6 classrooms, for children with special education needs on a site at Kishoge Cross, Griffeen Avenue, Lucan, Co Dublin.
The project is being delivered under the design and build programme and will be delivered in accordance with the planning permission granted by the local authority for the school development, including the pedestrian safety measures and on site car parking as denoted therein.
The Letter of Acceptance (LOA) issued to the successful contractor on 18/11/2024 which allowed the contractor to mobilise on site. The project is expected to be completed in Quarter 2 2026.
My department will continue to keep the school and its patron body updated as the project progresses.
