The Grow Digital Voucher was introduced in September 2024, and replaced the Trading Online Voucher, which closed for applications in December 2024. Under this new and improved offer, the funding available has been increased to up to €5,000 and the eligibility criteria expanded to cover a wider range of digital interventions available to a broader range of businesses compared to the Trading Online Voucher.

Eligible expenditure under the Grow Digital Voucher includes e-commerce software, e-invoicing software, cyber security software, as well as analytics software including Artificial Intelligence systems. The improvements in eligible expenditure for Grow Digital also means that website development subscriptions are also supported. The Grow Digital Voucher is available to all small business with up to 50 employees, across all sectors.

Applications for the Grow Digital Voucher were initially slow, largely due to a late surge in applications for the Trading Online Voucher before it closed and the natural lag associated with the introduction of a new support.

With strong interest in the Digital for Business programme, which must be completed prior to application for the Grow Digital Voucher, I anticipate continued increases in applications and approvals for this vital support over the coming months and years.

The Table Below sets out the provisional figures for applications and approvals for the Grow Digital Voucher in each month since the scheme commenced in September 2024.

Month No of Applications No. Of Approvals
September - December  2024 13 6
January 2025 5 4
February 2025 16 10
March 2025 22 13
April 2025 26 15
May 2025 16 23
June 2025 15 27
July 2025 20 27
August 2025 17 14
Total 150 139
