The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) is an independent, statutory body under the aegis of my Department. The WRC’s primary functions include the inspection of employment law compliance, the provision of information on employment law, mediation, adjudication, conciliation, and advisory services. Given the independence of the WRC, it is not appropriate for me as Minister to either comment or intervene when the WRC exercises its statutory functions.
Insofar as the status of the detailed case, I understand that the adjudication decision has now issued to the respective parties.
