631. To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if he will provide an update on the National Shared Services Office external audit looking at the overpayment of civil servants and Ministers; if the audit will be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [45696/25]

As I have stated previously, I am committed to fully and comprehensively addressing and resolving these issues. I appointed Derek Moran, Former Secretary General of the Department of Finance, as chair of the NSSO Advisory Board. At my request, Mr Moran commissioned an external audit. The tender competition is nearing completion, and the successful firm will be named following the formal contract signing. It is expected that the audit will begin shortly after the contract signing has been complete. It is envisioned, once the audit is complete, and where data privacy allows, that the findings and recommendations of the audit will be published.
