To ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if he will examine the case of a passport application for a person (details supplied), and the difficulties in the applicant receiving support from the relevant Irish embassy; if his Department will liaise with the relevant Irish embassy to address these issues and progress the application appropriately; his views on the perceived complexity of the application process in this case; the supports available to the applicant; and if he will make a statement on the matter. With regard to the passport application to which the Deputy is referring, the Passport Service has made contact with the applicant in order to assist.
