To ask the Minister for Health the number of orthopaedic consultants, registrars and NCHDs employed by Children's Health Ireland that are working full-time without restrictions; working under clinical supervision or practice restrictions; on administrative leave or temporarily removed from clinical duties; and awaiting return to work pending investigation or review. 2998. To ask the Minister for Health if there are defined maximum caseload caps for orthopaedic consultants within Children's Health Ireland; if so, the cap per consultant; the way in which this is monitored; to outline how caseloads are redistributed when a consultant is on leave, restricted, or steps back from clinical care; and the protocols in place to ensure that high-risk patients, such as those with progressive spinal conditions, are not lost in the system due to consultant workload saturation.
