30. To ask the Taoiseach whether his Department has a policy or goal of better insourcing of IT requirements and needs of the Department for better cybersecurity, autonomy and crisis management. [43686/25]

The Department of the Taoiseach works with the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, the National Cyber Security Centre and the Office of Government Procurement to ensure that best practice is followed in meeting the IT requirements and needs of the Department.

The Department implements a security-by-design and defence-in-depth approach to cyber security in line with the Public Sector Cyber Security Baseline Standards. Using of a mix of in-house and external expertise, the Department has comprehensive arrangements in place to support ICT security and receives regular advice on these matters from the relevant authorities.
