My Department’s ICT services are provided by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO), which supplies a centralised service to a significant number of Government Departments and agencies across the Civil and Public Service.

In terms of cyber security, my Department engages closely with the OGCIO, which in turn engages with the National Cyber Security Centre to ensure best practice is followed as it relates to all aspects of cyber security.

My Department maintains its own policies and procedures in respect of emergency planning, business continuity and disaster recovery. However, we work in tandem with the OGCIO on all matters relating to the stability and security of our ICT infrastructure.

Finally, OGCIO also operates centralised procurement arrangements for a range of ICT goods and services available to public sector bodies to maximise cost efficiencies and ensure value for money.
