2295. To ask the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality if her attention has been drawn to a matter raised by this Deputy during Topical Issues in the Dáil chamber on Thursday 10 July 2025, and if she will commit to establishing an independent review of the case in question. [41200/25]

I would like to thank the Deputy for raising this important matter during Topical Issues in the Dáil chamber on 10th July last.
As you may be aware, as Minister I am not in a position to intervene in individual cases as Tusla, Child & Family Agency, is required by law to be independent in its work as set out in Section 8 (11) of the Child & Family Agency Act 2013 that "the Agency shall be independent in the performance of its functions".
However, the Tusla Chief Executive Officer has recently advised that a full internal review of this matter will be carried out, independent of the local Tusla area in question. I am assured that this review will be expedited. The review will also examine the recommendations from the complaints investigation to ensure all recommended actions have been completed.
