2230. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to provide an update on an agri-climate rural environment scheme, ACRES, payment for a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [43711/25]

The persons named submitted separate applications under the ACRES Co-operation stream and were both approved into Tranche 1 of the scheme, with a commencement date of 1st January 2023. Both of the participants named have had payments to their individual contracts finalised in respect of the 2023 scheme year.

These participants requested to transfer to a Registered Farm Partnership in September 2024.

My Department acknowledges the ongoing challenges faced by ACRES participants who have updated their herd number since the commencement of their ACRES contract.

The process of transferring ACRES contracts to a new owner, and updating the herd details across the various systems used by ACRES, is complex. My Department is actively working to resolve these issues as a matter of urgency. The required IT functionality is expected to be deployed over the coming weeks.

I can assure you that everything is being done to pay, as soon as possible, all ACRES participants who clear pre-payment checks.
