2122. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality whether his Department has a policy or goal of better insourcing of IT requirements and needs of the Department for better cybersecurity, autonomy, and crisis management; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [43682/25]

All IT functions in my Department, including cyber security, are led and managed by civil servants of the Department. Where specific expertise is not available internally, these teams are supported by specialist contractors to ensure continuity of service and access to critical skills.
My Department is committed to developing IT staff capability in line with Connecting Government 2030 - A Digital ICT Strategy for Ireland's Public Service. More information on the strategy is available here - .
