2006. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the number of applications from Ukrainians for visas and asylum, for each of the years 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025; the number granted; and the number refused. [41991/25]

Visa requirements between Ukraine and Ireland were lifted on 25 February 2022 to streamline and support the exit of Ukrainian nationals fleeing Russian aggression and the activation shortly thereafter of the Temporary Protection Directive. Since then temporary protection has been granted to over 118,000 people eligible under the terms of the Directive.

The below table shows how many Ukrainian nationals have applied for international protection since February 2022.

Palestinian nationals are visa required and must have a valid Irish entry visa before they seek to enter the State.

Any visa required national that wishes to enter the State, and remain, for up to 90 days must have a Type C Short Stay Visa. A visa required national that wishes to reside in the State for longer than 90 days must have a Type D Long Stay Visa.

Table 1 below details Short Stay Type C visas for Palestinian nationals.
