My Department provides funding to a range of organisations including local authorities, State agencies and other bodies, and community and voluntary sector organisations through grant schemes and programmes. These organisations provide vital services in many areas across the justice sector including youth justice services, crime prevention, supporting victims of crime, migrant integration, and community safety.

The information requested by the Deputy in relation to grant schemes and programmes administered by my Department is recorded in the tables below. This information includes all schemes and discretionary grant programmes administered by my Department and agencies in Vote 24.

Department of Justice Funding

Information relating to other funding provided by the Department and agencies is available by the total paid per organisation (grantees) per year, rather than the total number of payments. This information is set out below.

Information relating to all grant schemes and programmes administered by the Irish Prison Service is provided below. I am informed that the other agencies in the Justice Vote Group (Courts Service, Data Protection Commissioner, Fiosrú and the Policing and Community Safety Authority), do not administer any grant schemes or programmes.
