To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection to provide the total number of grant payments issued by the Department in each of the past five years, along with the total value of those grant payments for each year, in tabular form; and to confirm whether these figures include all schemes and discretionary grant programmes administered directly by the Department or through its agencies. Details of all scheme expenditure can be obtained from the Department's audited financial statements for both Vote 37 Appropriation Account and the Social Insurance Fund. The audited financial statements for Vote 37 are available under the Publications section of the Comptroller & Auditor General's website at www.audit.gov.ie/. The audited financial statements for the Social Insurance Fund are available under the Documents Laid section of the Oireachtas website at www.oireachtas.ie/.

The Department has two Agencies, the Pension Authority and the Citizen Information Board who also prepare audited financial statements. These statements are available on their respective websites www.pensionsauthority/ and www.citizens/.
