Government is fully committed to working with all stakeholders to deliver social, affordable and cost rental homes at scale and to continue accelerating housing supply across all tenures. This is demonstrated by the record level of investment which is being provided for the delivery of Housing in 2025, with overall capital funding available of €6.8 billion. The capital provision is supplemented by a further €1.65 billion in current funding to address housing need.

My Department publishes the Social Housing Construction Status Report (CSR) on a quarterly basis. As with all Exchequer funded projects, the Department as approving authority, assesses each project for suitability, value for money and requirements of applicable funding scheme. This review process is ongoing on a quarterly basis, with each local authority updating their projects as they progress through each stage of the planning and construction process.

The CSR provides details of social housing developments and their location that have been completed, are under construction or are progressing through the various stages of the design and tender processes. The most recent publication was for Quarter 1 2025, and is accessible on my Department's website at the following link www.gov.ie/en/department-of-housing-local-government-and-heritage/publications/social-housing-construction-status-projects-status-report-q1-2025/.

A version of the CSR file can also be downloaded for analysis by local authority, location etc. at this link: .
