No direct funding from the European Investment Bank (EIB) has been utilised for the construction or refurbishment of social housing within the four Dublin local authorities over the past five years.

The social housing programme is primarily financed through Exchequer resources, allocated via the Department's Voted expenditure and in the case of some AHBs borrowing from the Housing Finance Agency. In addition, supplementary funding is provided through the Local Property Tax (LPT) self-funding mechanism.
