938. To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the number of cases involving the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland currently before the Workplace Relations Commission, or which have gone before the WRC over the past five years; and the legal costs incurred by the DCCI as a result of WRC cases in that period; and his Department's role in providing funding which covers such costs. The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) has advised me that there are currently no cases involving the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland before the WRC. In the last 5 years there have been no employment law cases involving the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland for adjudication before the WRC.
The Design and Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) is an independent organisation dedicated to advancing the commercial development of Irish designers and makers. DCCI receives funding from my Department through Enterprise Ireland (EI), underpinned by a Service Level Agreement (SLA) between EI and DCCI. This SLA establishes the framework for agreeing service levels and managing performance in relation to the funding provided by EI on behalf of my Department.
