My Department and the bodies under its aegis provide capital funding programmes and grants that are focussed on supporting business and economic development, attracting inward investment to promote enterprise, innovation and job creation.
Where the sporting organisation is a business, two supports, delivered by the Local Enterprise Offices, are open to applications from eligible sporting organisations. These supports include the Energy Efficiency Grant and the Grow Digital Voucher.
The Energy Efficient Grant supports investment in technologies and equipment by enterprises whilst the Grow Digital Voucher offers financial support to small and medium businesses for digital technology.
The Energy Efficiency Grant provides grant assistance of up to a maximum of €10,000 with a 75% contribution rate from Government. It aims to assist small businesses to reduce their impact on the environment and thereby increase their agility and resilience.
The Grow Digital Voucher offers funding of up to €5,000 or 50% of eligible costs for new cloud-based software subscriptions for 1 year, including training and consultancy to set up this software.
Both the Energy Efficiency Grant and the Grow Digital Voucher can be applied for by Sporting bodies that carry on activities which would be chargeable to tax under Case I or II of Schedule D, but for an exemption set out in section 235 TCA, provided they meet the other scheme eligibility criteria.

My Department and the bodies under its aegis provide capital funding programmes and grants that are primarily focussed on supporting business and economic development, attracting inward investment to promote enterprise, innovation and job creation. It does not provide capital funding programmes or grants to community organisations.
