850. To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the timeline for works on Gorey Garda station as discussed with the Minister on his visit on 19 May; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [44408/25]

The OPW can confirm that there are a number of projects planned for Gorey Garda Station over the coming months as follows:
1. Restoration of the windows
2. Cell upgrade works
3. Conversion of the existing garage into office space and
4. Maintenance works to the boundary wall.
1. The contract for restoration of the windows has been awarded and a pre-start meeting is due to be held in due course. Works are estimated to take 90 days to complete once works begin on-site.
2. The preparation of the tender package for the cell upgrade project is nearing completion. These works are expected to commence following completion of the window restoration works.
3. Plans for the conversion of the external garage to offices are currently with An Garda Síochána for approval. Once approved, it is anticipated that works will commence following the completion of the cell upgrade project.
4. Wexford County Council are expected to carry out drainage works in the rear garden of the adjoining council house and approve the transfer of land adjoining the car park. Once this process is complete, maintenance works can commence on the boundary wall.
The commencement/completion dates for the scheduled works are subject to the final sign off on operational and design requirements by An Garda Síochána.
