The OPW has not given consideration to the roll out of this measure and as such no costs have been assessed or estimated.
The OPW is aware that there is currently a pilot scheme to provide sun cream dispensers in four parks in Cork. This pilot is being delivered by the HSE in partnership with Cork County Council. The OPW will be interested to learn of the outcomes of this pilot.
The OPW continues to reinforce the public health guidance in relation to skin protection when outdoors by supporting the messaging of the national SunSmart campaign which is promoted by the Department of Health and HSE annually.
