I am advised by Revenue that the table below sets out the number of claims for the Rent Tax Credit by PAYE taxpayer units by county for 2025 to 14th July 2025. Data on claims by self-assessed taxpayers are not yet available for 2025 as the filing deadline has not yet passed.
The Deputy might also note that most claims for credits by PAYE taxpayers for the credit take place after the end of the year of assessment. It is expected that the bulk of claims for the credit in respect of the year of assessment 2025 will not be made until 2026.
