I propose to take Questions Nos. 547 and 548 together.

My Department had one Capital Funding Programme which was available for Community Organisations and one Capital Funding Programme which was available for Sporting Organisations. It does not have any grants available to either Community or Sporting Organisations.

The Capital Funding Programme for Community Organisations is the EU Just Transition Fund (EUJTF) Community Facilities EV Charging Scheme. It provides funding to support the roll-out of publicly accessible, fast charge point infrastructure at community facilities across the Just Transition territory. It is currently closed to applications and these applications are now being processed.

The Capital Funding Programme for Sporting Organisations is the Shared Island Sports Club EV Charging Scheme. It provides funding to install a network of publicly accessible chargers in communities nationwide through their local sports clubs subject to certain eligibility criteria. It is currently closed to applications and these applications are now being processed.

As the Deputy’s question also relates to bodies under the aegis of my Department, I have referred this question to the relevant agencies for direct reply. If the Deputy does not receive a response within ten working days please contact my Private Office.
