The provisions of the Data Protection Act 2018 fall under the remit of the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration. Given the Department's role in this issue, the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration is best placed to advise the Deputy on the applicability of the legislation to road traffic footage.
