My Department has not procured any services from the company referenced. In regard to the bodies under the aegis of my Department only the Office of Public Works has used the named company.
A satellite service was chosen to provide Internet and data connectivity services at two remote sites, namely Tintern Abbey in Co. Wexford and Anne’s Grove in Co. Cork. This service was chosen due to the fact that given their locations, these particular sites had very limited broadband connectivity and poor mobile phone data coverage. This will be kept under ongoing review by the OPW.
