The National Development Finance Agency (NDFA) is part of the National Treasury Management Association (NTMA). On 16 April, I announced that the Government has agreed a series of actions to accelerate the delivery of strategic infrastructure.
An enhanced role for the NDFA was included in these actions agreed by the Government, with the NDFA expanding its existing level of support for infrastructure projects. The NDFA proposes to do so by offering enhanced support to Government Departments at every stage of the business planning process. This will include assistance in project initiation, strategic assessment and preliminary business case development, project design, development and tendering, final business case development and implementation, post project review and benefit realisation. This will accelerate project delivery, while ensuring that best practice in each of these areas are mainstreamed.
My officials are engaged with the Department of Finance and the NTMA in the preparations to help the NDFA to deliver on its expanded role over the coming months.
