430. To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality the details of reviews or reports regarding the impact of the accommodation recognition payment on the private rented sector that his Department has sought, or received, since the transfer of functions in relation to migration to his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can advise the Deputy that I was briefed on the operation of Accommodation Recognition Payment (ARP) in advance of the transfer of functions. I also engaged with relevant Ministers in connection with the recent Orders to extend the scheme to March 2026 and to reduce the monthly contribution rate to €600 from 1 June 2025.
There is ongoing engagement by my Department with the Department of Housing in respect of the scheme. ARP data has been shared with the Department of Housing to assist with analysis being done in conjunction with the Residential Tenancies Board as to the impact of the ARP on the rental market and my Department awaits the outcome of that analysis.
