381. To ask the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the main policy achievements of his Department since 23 January 2025; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [38760/25]

During 2025, the staff of my Department have worked collaboratively on a wide range of policies and initiatives to deliver on the strategic goals set out in the Department's Statement of Strategy 2023-2025 to drive the delivery of better public services, living standards and infrastructure for the people of Ireland under three key strategic goals: Enhancing Governance; Building Capacity; and Delivering Effectively.
In addition to the strategy implementation, my Department continues to safeguard the sustainability of public expenditure. This includes the strategic management of well-targeted and sustainable public spending.
Since January 2025, my Department has:
- Updated the 2025 Digital Inclusion Roadmap.
- Completed construction of the State Data Centre.
- Published a Report On The Public Consultation To Inform Ireland’s Position On EU Cohesion Policy Post 2027 and an associated position paper setting out Ireland’s position on the future of EU Cohesion Policy to support engagement with other Member States, the Commission and the European Parliament during impending negotiation of the post 2027 EU budget.
- Published a Right to Disconnect Policy for the Civil Service.
- Continued to implement the “Action Plan for Designing Better Public Services 2024-2025” embedding user centred design in the Public Service towards integrated high quality public services.
- Worked with colleagues across the public service on the ongoing implementation of the Better Public Services Strategy to deliver agreed flagship programmes under the three pillars of the strategy:
- Digital and Innovation at Scale.
- Workforce and Organisation of the Future.
- Evidence informed policy and services designed for and with our public.
- Drawdown of €115m under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
- Published Guidelines for the Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Public Service.
- Publication of the Commercial Skills Academy Strategic Action Plan 2025 – 2027.
- Publication of the Project Ireland 2040 Capital Tracker and Interactive Map.
- Progressed ongoing development of the National Development Plan
- Introduced the 2025 ICT Apprenticeship Scheme.
- Established an infrastructure division to reflect the Department’s new mandate.
