My Department ensures it has appropriate security and CCTV systems in place to protect the security of Department buildings, Department staff and visitor safety.

However, as the details requested by the Deputy form an integral part of security arrangements in my Department's facilities, I am not in a position to provide the details sought as disclosing information relating to CCTV systems and their capabilities could potentially compromise the security of the buildings, Department staff and visitor safety.

Regarding dissemination of recorded footage, any such instances are done so in accordance with An Garda Síochána Data Access Requests through a formal 41(b) application.
