1065. To ask the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht to list all national strategies, action plans or documents that may be described as such, which are currently in operation and under the remit of his Department. [39614/25]

The list below provides details on my Department's policies, strategies and actions plans which compliment funding schemes and interventions intended to improve the economic and social development of rural, urban and Gaeltacht communities.

  • Our Rural Future, Rural Development Policy: a whole-of-Government policy for the sustainable development of rural Ireland over the period 2021-2025.
  • Town Centre First Policy (in partnership with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage): a whole-of-government policy framework to proactively address the decline in the health of towns across Ireland and support measures to regenerate and revitalise them.
  • Sustainable, Inclusive and Empowered Communities: the five-year strategy to support the community and voluntary sector in Ireland.
  • Trading for Impact - Social Enterprise Policy: creating an enabling environment for social enterprise to grow and contribute to Ireland’s social and economic progress.
  • National Volunteering Strategy: recognising, supporting and promoting the unique value and contribution of volunteers to Irish Society.
  • National Philanthropy Policy 2024-2028 - which aims to deepen understanding and knowledge, create an enabling environment and accelerate engagement with philanthropy in Ireland for social good.
  • Dormant Accounts Disbursement Scheme and Annual Action Plans - detailing funding for measures across Government that help address economic, social or educational disadvantage, or assist persons with a disability.
  • Our Living Islands – National Islands Policy 2023-2033: a whole-of-government policy and associated action plan aims to ensure that sustainable, vibrant communities can continue to live - and thrive - on the offshore islands for many years to come.
  • Embracing Ireland’s Outdoors – National Outdoor Recreation Strategy 2023-2027: sets out a vision, mission and series of actions which will lead, guide and facilitate the sustainable development and management of the outdoor recreation sector.
  • The Library is the Place: Information, Recreation, Inspiration - National Public Library Strategy 2023-2027 – designed to support and strengthen Ireland’s public library network ensuring libraries continue to provide accessible, friendly, and truly civic spaces that are at the heart of communities.
  • 20-Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030 - a whole-of-government policy and associated action plans aimed at supporting and promoting the Irish language across the island of Ireland, in the European Union and further afield.
  • Digital Plan for the Irish Language 2023-2027 - is aimed at making it easier than ever for businesses and State service providers to make Irish available as an option in their digital services to the public.
  • Strategy for the Language-Based Arts 2024-2027 - aims to develop the various language-based art forms both within the Gaeltacht and on the island.
  • National Plan for the Provision of Irish-Medium Public Services 2024-2030 - is a central element in the move towards a fully bilingual public service. It is intended to act as a roadmap for public bodies in terms of systematically increasing and improving the number and quality of Irish language public services so provided.
