I understand that Parliamentary Question No 1014 of 10 June 2025 sought: "the number of WTE civilian forensic accountants attached to the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau in 2024 and to date in 2025, in tabular form".

Under the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024, the Garda Commissioner is responsible for the administration and management of An Garda Síochána, including the allocation of resources.

I have been informed by the Garda authorities that there was one civilian forensic accountant attached to the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau in 2024 and three civilian forensic accountants attached to the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau as of 30 June 2025.
