637. To ask the Minister for Employment Affairs and Social Protection the number of people, by county, who have availed of jobseeker’s pay-related benefit since it was introduced; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [38992/25]

Jobseeker’s Pay-Related Benefit (JPRB) is a payment you can get if you become fully unemployed and have paid enough pay-related social insurance (PRSI) contributions. You cannot work and get Jobseeker’s Pay-Related Benefit at the same time. The amount you get is directly linked to your earnings from work before you became unemployed.
As of the week ending 6th July 2025, a total of 20,877 JPRB claims had been awarded since the scheme was introduced. A total of 14,383 people were recipients on the scheme at this date, with a breakdown by county provided in the table below.
