131. To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of dogs exported from Ireland in each of the years 2022, 2023, 2024 and to date in 2025, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [38321/25]

The Department issues an exporter certificate for all commercial movement of dogs. The type of certification is dependent on whether the destination is to other EU countries or non-EU countries.

A Commercial movement of dogs is defined where a dog, or dogs, is either travelling unaccompanied, or is travelling for the use of trading, or for shows, sporting events or where an owner has more than 5 dogs travelling.

The number of dogs exported commercially from Ireland from 2022 to 2025 (as of 30th June) are listed in tabular form below:
