My Department came into existence in its current configuration in June 2025. With regard to its forerunner, the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, the total number of published PO’s in 2023 (over €20,000) was 41, with a payment value of €1,877,925. This published information shows transactions over €20,000 (vat inclusive) for goods or services and does not include grants, grants-in-aid, reimbursements.

The total number of payments recorded by the Department in 2023 on its financial management system was 36,901 with a total value of over €1.09bn. This is a global figure which includes grant and other payments.
