The Valuation Tribunal is the independent statutory body with responsibility for hearing appeals against decisions of Tailte Éireann on the valuation and revaluation of commercial and industrial properties for rating purposes.

As the Valuation Tribunal is statutorily independent in the performance of its functions, my Department does not hold the information requested in respect of average waiting times for appeals. However, arrangements have been put in place by all bodies under the aegis of my Department to facilitate the provision of information directly to Oireachtas members. This provides a speedy, efficient and cost effective system to address queries directly to the relevant bodies.
