The School Transport Scheme is a significant operation managed by Bus Éireann on behalf of the Department of Education.

Bus Éireann has confirmed that the pupil referred to by the Deputy is not eligible for school transport as they are attending their 4th nearest school. Bus Éireann has further advised that there is no existing service from where this pupil resides to their school of attendance.
