On establishment in 2022 the Corporate Enforcement Authority (CEA) had 36 civil service staff members and 10 members of An Garda Síochána on secondment.
The CEA has effectively doubled in size since then. The CEA now has 89 sanctioned positions (including one temporary post) and an approved complement of 16 seconded members of An Garda Síochána.
The CEA has seen a steady increase in funding since establishment reflecting Ireland’s commitment to a robust corporate enforcement regulatory regime. In 2022 the CEA was allocated €6million. By 2025, this allocation had increased to €11.5 million.
Resourcing of the CEA is kept under constant review and the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment is involved in regular engagement with the CEA in relation to its requirements.
