In response to international economic developments, and in line with a commitment in the Programme for Government, my Department is currently preparing the Action Plan on Competitiveness and Productivity. This plan will be brought to a Competitiveness Summit for consideration in July and will be finalised and published shortly thereafter.

The Action Plan will reflect a whole-of-government approach to addressing domestic drivers of competitiveness, focusing on areas firmly within our national control. Its development has been informed by extensive consultation across Government Departments and with external stakeholders.

My Department has already conducted a series of bilateral engagements with key Government partners, including but not limited to the areas of infrastructure, housing, research, regulatory reform and innovation (including digitalisation and the adoption of advanced technologies). These discussions will continue in the coming weeks, alongside broader stakeholder engagement and public consultation. The views of SMEs, business representative organisations, and enterprise agencies will also be actively sought during this process.

I have received the submission referred to and I thank the relevant organisation for their very useful and comprehensive set of inputs. The development of the Action Plan is currently underway and my Department is actively considering all submissions received.
