My most recent call with Secretary Rubio was on 4 March when we discussed bilateral relations, the mutually beneficial economic relationship between Ireland and the US, and a range of pressing issues of shared concern, including Ukraine and the Middle East.
Since then I have also had engagements with Commerce Secretary Lutnick and most recently with US Trade Representative, Ambassador Greer earlier this month.
I look forward to further engagements with Secretary Rubio and his colleagues in the future. Developing Ireland’s many rich political, economic, cultural, and people-to-people links with the US remains an important priority for me as Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, just as it is for this Government.
