I wish to inform the Deputy that the Department does not keep a central register of staff members qualifications. However, my officials maintain a record of training provided to staff and, in that respect, I can advise that the Department has funded one level 6 certificate in Public Procurement in 2023.

The Department has offered training to all staff on an Introduction to Public Procurement and 53 staff have availed of this training from September 2024 to October 2024. The Department is presently in consultation with a training provider to update and offer this course again to Departmental staff.

I have asked the aegis bodies under my Department to respond to you directly on this matter.
