My Department's website is part of the gov.ie platform, which is the portal for government services and information. The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO), a division of the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, hosts and manages the gov.ie platform.
Officials in my Department have contacted the OGCIO regarding the issue raised by the Deputy and have been informed that a major system upgrade on the gov.ie platform in April 2025 resulted in a number of links across the platform becoming broken. Any broken links were replaced by the placeholder text “Item has been unpublished or removed” rather than returning an error message. My Department is actively working with the OCGIO to resolve this issue for any affected pages on our website.
My Department is committed to the open publication of government information and I can assure the Deputy that no links or documents were intentionally removed from my Department’s website.
